In the documentary series Skøytejentene (Skating Girls), the Norwegian online television channel e-tv.no will follow five skaters from the Norwegian national speed skating team. The first episode will be launched on Saturday October 15th. Approximately 25 episodes will be recorded and broadcast in the coming weeks and months.
These young athletes fit perfectly within the BoXX United concept and are therefore an excellent showcase for introducing the BoXX United concept in Norway and in the other Scandinavian countries.
Popular on social media
Marte Furnee, Ane Farstad, Amalie Haugland, Aurora Løvås and Victoria Keltie Sætersdal are young top skaters and are hugely popular on TikTok, Instagram and SnapChat. Together they had over 100 million views in the past year. During this documentary series we get an insight into their daily lives, training and competitions.
Positive for ice skating sport
Marte Furnee – the Norwegian all-round champion of 2022 – thinks it’s important that people through the real-life series Skøytejentene see how much time and effort goes into top sport. Victoria Keltie Sætersdal tells e-tv.no: “I enjoy being in front of the camera, but it will be something completely different to have television cameras and microphones around you. I am looking forward to it, also because it will be positive for the skating sport.”
Ane Bye Farstad, Amalie Haugland and the youngest of the “Skøytejentse”, Aurora Løvås, are also looking forward to it. “I moved into a dorm room at the age of 15 to focus on skating. I live and go to school in Hamar. My goal is to become one of the world’s best skaters,” the ambitious 17-year-old Aurora said.
Additional resources for achieving their goals
These five Norwegian skating girls are the typical example of athletes who are a perfect fit for BoXX United. Four out of five are on the Norwegian Skating Federation’s Talent National team and – like most ambitious athletes – need the resources to train and deliver peak performance. For this they are currently almost completely dependent on the financial support of their parents and family. As a sports marketing organization, BoXX United wants to help the athletes to get more funding for the practice of their sport and to give fans and sponsors the opportunity to support the girls and also get something in return. This way, these five skating girls can give their careers a big boost.
